Weihai Huaxia City Cultural Tourism Complex project is a complex project invested and built by Huaxia Cultural Tourism Group in Weihai, Shandong Province in 2007. The project covers an area of 16.28 square kilometers, with a total investment of 6 billion yuan, including Weihai Huaxia City Scenic spot, Weihai Spirit Travel Ocean World, and the running real scene performance show "Legend of Spirit Travel".

As the central project of Huaxia City cultural and tourism complex, Weihai Huaxia City Scenic Area is an important achievement of combining environmental governance and tourism development by Huaxia Culture and Tourism Group through the restoration of 44 mines in Weihai Longshan for more than 10 years since 2003. During the period, Huaxia Cultural Travel Group used more than 130 engineering vehicles, transported 56.926,700 cubic meters of earth, repaired 44 mines, built 35 reservoirs, levelled a bald ridge stretching over 800 meters of about 15.3 million cubic meters, and planted 11.27 million trees, which has a demonstration role in ecological restoration, waste repair and utilization in China and even the world. It has won the National cultural Industry Demonstration Base, National leisure fishery Demonstration Base, Gold Medal of Global cultural tourism destination, Shandong Cultural Industry Demonstration Park, Shandong Key cultural Industry Project, Brand Shandong Tourism Performance Innovation Award, Shandong Province Top 30 Cultural Enterprises, etc. In February 2017, it was awarded the honorary title of National 5A tourist scenic spot.

In order to increase the cultural connotation of the scenic spot, in 2010, the Group created the world's first running live performance show "Spirit Travel China" in the mine, using the quarry landform, adapting to local conditions, turning waste into treasure, and setting the running rotating walking audience in the large quarry to create a natural landscape stage in the restoration of the mountain. Borrow the mountain section standing on the north side of the quarry to build the "Zhi" word stage, relying on the steep mountain to create a spectacular scene of "the water of the Yellow River comes from the sky". With its unique performance form and viewing mode, the show allows the audience to enjoy the wonderful performance across time and space surrounded by water, land and air in an all-round way without leaving the seat, opening a wonderful journey of the night cultural life of Jiaodong Peninsula and becoming a shining pearl in Weihai's tourism and cultural industry.

In 2016, Huaxia Cultural Travel Group upgraded the "Spirit Travel Hua Xia" to create the "Spirit Travel Legend" show of the boutique Chinese performing arts legend series. On the basis of absorbing the original leading technology and program advantages of the show, the show rearranges it, adding large stage mechanical equipment to the props, such as the air props of more than 30 meters long colorful luminous phoenix, 7 meters high laughing Buddha that can clap and laugh forward and back, and 5 air drums with a diameter of 5 meters. In the content, it picks the development symbols of Chinese traditional culture, excavates the classic myths and legends since the beginning of Pangu, and integrates a series of classic legends such as Fuxi Nuwa, Phoenix Nirvana, and Eight immortals Hexi into a show, revealing the source of the millennium development of Chinese civilization in a performance show. "Legend of the Spirit" show takes Chinese civilization as the main line, skillfully through modern high-tech techniques to create a more magical, shocking, exciting, cheerful, and clearer narrative logic of the large-scale outdoor reality show with multiple plays. In 2017, it was rated as "China's Top Ten live-action Performing Arts" by China Performing Arts League, ranking among the top three; In 2018, it was rated as "Top Ten box office of China's Tourism Performance Theme park Series" and "Influential Tourism Performance of China's Tourism Industry" by Cultural Travel China.

In 2014, Huaxia Cultural Tourism Group built Weihai Spirit Travel Ocean World on the north side of Huaxia City scenic spot, which merged with the natural beauty near the mountains and rivers to form a wonderful scene of "sea in the mountains", filling the gap of Weihai as a coastal city without an ocean museum. In addition to the display of conventional Marine organisms, Weihai Spirit Sea World is unique from other Marine museums in that it takes Marine culture and fishery culture as the theme, looks at the world from Jiaodong, and displays Jiaodong's characteristic fishery culture by deeply restoring the life scenes of Jiaodong fisherman's people, offering sacrifices to the sea and other Jiaodong fisherman's customs. At the same time, it combines projects such as group fish performance and Marine science popularization knowledge publicity. Set viewing, participation, experience, science and education, culture in one, so that visitors can feel the magic of Marine culture in an all-round way.
